Cubs clinch the NL Central Division!

As part of the Chapter 5 review on Friday (Gold) and Monday (Purple, we will do a group quiz.  I will randomly select the groups and you will work on it together and each turn in a quiz.  I will pick one of the quizzes in your group to grade.

Chapter 5 Test – you will have the entire period to complete the test.

Now for A few reminders:

 On All parts:

  • Relative extrema means find all relative max/mins ( x and y). Justify with derivative explanation.
  • Extrema or all extrema means find all relative max/mins ( x and y) and which are absolute max/mins. Justify with a derivative explanation.
  • All max/mins. must be justified with a derivative explanation.
  • All Increasing/decreasing must be justified with a derivative explanation.
  • All concavity and POI’s must be justified with a derivative explanation.

Calculator

  • If you use your calculator to differentiate a function, you still need to write down the derivative on your test.
  • If F2 Solve gives you a strange answer, you can always graph the derivative and find where it is 0 for critical points.
  • You may use decimals (min of 3 decimal places) for all calculator problems.
